昨天开始上研究生的课了，课后觉得嗓子不适，教师的结局是“坐台”，“卖声”和“吸粉”，这是我的朋友周宇告诉我的段子。
专业英语课上了一半，走了2/3的学生。点名是一种形式，我一直知道。但是感谢大家都来了，还是多有面子的。每次点名后将名单公布，固然我们都是毫无隐私，但是为了避免我受到任何压力，而能安全地保证公平，这是必要的。
学校的政策是一个指南，如果学校对于教师的管理越来越严格（或者初级），那么我就很不象一个高校教师而更像一个小学教师，至少我指导自己的儿子时是不会这样初级而严厉地。
这是点名的目的吗？每次来的同学给两分的平时成绩。但是我还是要提醒我的学生们，你们不是一定能通过最终的期末考试。按照我的估计，大约一半的人会低于60%，可见我以前是多么的仁慈和善良。

说一下我自己的教学理念。
我一向认为，大学生已经是成年人，所以应该为自己的生活负责。上课或者不来上课，不过是一个成年人的自由意志之选择而已。所以我以前从来不点名。但是，我奖励来听课的人，你们都知道我那句话：“不来的同学不惩罚，来的同学有奖。”
因为你们的就业也许比较辛苦，所以我无意在此增加大家的负担。
对照学校的管理规章，我要接受半期检查，试卷评审，每次课必须点名，平时成绩要提交依据，试卷上的评分如果要修改必须签名（我是每份试卷都签名，不管是否修改）；还要接受同学们的网络评估（虽然我从来不看，密码也丢失了）。
我一个月的工资很低，自从我宣布“新三不主义”，不带研究生，不申请项目，不写论文之后，我的收入锐减。（但是神看顾，如今有一种教授职位叫“教学型”。遗憾的是我上课也上得不多且不好。）在学校的收入刚刚够我交了房屋按揭，留下一点儿子的抚养费，年景好的时候每月会剩下3、4百元，年景不好的时候就捉襟见肘的窘迫。
当然，这里不是抱怨和晒工资的时候，我也不会抱怨自己的选择。只是这个工作需要努力，那么我应该按着学校的要求来做。
我也不自夸，但是学生们会看到我想成为一个合格的老师的努力。Pink Floyd说，all in all it was just another brick in the wall。这是我早年从教育中获得的态度。
